Strad first issue

Before I go searching through the car, I have a nagging issue on the Strad that has been getting steadily worse.

Its the occasional seatbelt warning light and buzzer going off.

At first I thought it was the passenger seat thinking it had someone in it but not wearing the seatbelt but I think it is the drivers seat.

Yesterday it was going off repeatedly, I fiddled with the buckle and in the end yanking the belt seemed to stop it.

Anyone got any pointers for I go dismantling the d@mn thing?

Have you tried to cabling under the seats? Admittedly it's a different car, but I had a similar fault with the connectors under the seat of my 3200 and they just needed a wiggle and some contact cleaner spray

Well, Ill wait for my fellow forum members and so called mates to reply to that one but I am somewhere in the middle at 5'10" and fluctuate between 13~13.5 stone.

My seatbelt warning light went off in my GT when I had a crate of beer on the passenger seat the other day. Most odd.
And then I realised the car was concerned for the welfare of my beer.

Which was nice.

Matt on the 3200 there is a connector which you can disconnect for the warning chime. Check for a small connector running to the belt clip.

Its probably the microswitch in the buckle that has failed, ill give it a spray up first.
