Sportsmaserati.com SEVENTH MEET - Spring 2011

Just thought I would get you all looking forward to Spring and a bit of sunshine.

We are planning bi monthly events over the summer, tri monthly over the winter, so propose the usual second Thursday of the month:

Thursday 10th March 2011

Thursday 12th May 2011

Thursday 14th July 2011

Thursday 8th September 2011

Saturday 10th December 2011 (Xmas Doo)

Ill leave it to you all to put forward suggestions as to the venue, but it would have to be around the London area as this location works well for the majority...nothing against our Northern members.

We can of course stick with Ace, but its been done to death of recent or maybe have a 2 stage event with Ace then a short run to a pub to chill out for the rest of the afternoon.

Myself and Miles (events organiser) welcome your proposals.

If there's anything west of London then I'll do my best to make it, I'll quite often be coming through Heathrow on a Thursday.

its a pub in hampstead with a decent car park??

Hi MS, We also meet at the Malt Shovel on Iver Lane, Iver. Just off the M25 and perfect for Heathrow. It's great for summer meets as we can sit out on the canal-side.

i never been to that miles ill make the next malt...sounds like a more summer one though

we might get mor people attending if its a late evening like the way we always done it at ace like 6 to 11pm......
moving somewhere else or taking a day off to do both might put people off....
any ideas guys??

With the exception of December '11 (Christmas Meet II) Matt has listed Ace's Italian Car and Bike nights. These are always good gatherings, and now we have a good relationship with Ace, we should get a good crack of the whip. Certainly worth having some there, and then if we want, we can move on elsewhere afterwards............

ace nights are alright with me......nie to see the odd ferrari and alfa......

The Spaniards Inn is my local but for me the Ace Cafe is the place to be. Everyone who visits there is either a car or bike nut and the atmosphere is perfect.

Thursday 14th July 2011 - Summer afternoon meet at Ace with the opportunity to go for an evening drive.

Thursday 8th September 2011 - Autumn meet at The Malt Shovel.

Saturday 10th December 2011 (Xmas Doo) - If this takes a similar format to 2010, we'll start early at Ace to be followed by.......... watch this space.....

It starts at 11am.

Anyone fancy moving our meet from the 12th to the 14th to tie in with this event? Should be a good turnout if Maserati club members attend also?
