Over the last few years, have made a few subtle (hopefully respectful to the marque) modifications which have been specifically done to be easily reversible and not interfere with the aesthetics of the car. I must say that I am really happy with the overall effect and cannot see me parting with this car (if funds permit), even when buying the next one.
The mods are:
Here's a couple of photos I took today. I really feel the car has the best of both worlds - the classic unadulterated Maserati Pininfarina design coupled with contemporary accents.
The mods are:
- Lamin-X dark tint film for the headlights - peels off
- LED daytime driving lights in the lower apron grills
- Incandescent front side-lights swapped to white LED bulbs
- 2009+ LED tail lights with plug-n-play wiring harness (means the older lights can simply be swapped back in and no LED error codes)
- LED license plate lights
- Vinyl black overlay on the window chrome surrounds - peels off
- 25% tint on back window and rear seat windows
- Chrome surround on front grill sprayed with black Plasti-Dip which just peels off
- Interior: Kenwood touchscreen entertainment system (hard to get the components now) which includes iPod, bluetooth, Garmin SatNav and digital TV; this plugs the Kenwood screens into the TV input of the car with a touchscreen membrane atop the car's stock screen - seamless
