Hi I have been following this thread for a while, I am very interested. Just one last thing before I order, I currently have a bluetooth receiver plugged into usb in my granturismo gt s glovebox for power and this is plugged into aux so that I can play music from my sony walkman wirelessly. Can I still connect the walkman via bluetooth to the naviplus unit? While using Waze etc?
Also if I am using the android auto on the system via navi plus, will the factory bluetooth work for the telephone, and would pressing the phone button still answer the call? How would the factory bluetooth for the phone still work?
Also for granturismo install the removal of all the trim has me quite nervous, does it leave any trim loose or squeaky afterwards?
If these are straight forward I would like to definitely place an order for this unit for android phone connection

Hi, I'm thinking about this but have a 2008 GT which does not have the Aux/USB in the glovebox. Do I need that doing first (including Dealer SW Update)?? Or will this work without it?

Hi - I have the Naviplus unit and essentially everything goes via the phone - plug it in and all calls, Waze and music go through seamlessly. This might be the Sony Walkman can go!

I have no issues with that. It’s a fairly simple (if scary looking) process and it all fits back together nicely.

No, what is on the screen is driven by your phone, CarPlay we all have seen, a quick Google turned up this demo which (not being an Android user) will be what you get on your unit if using an Android phone:

no issues at all. It’s just the front dash panel and the glove box. Don’t attempt it yourself, let Paul from prestige do it or Matt.
