It's raining quite heavy here but according to the BBC it should only be light rain when we arrive and then just cloudy forthe rest of the day.
Not worth giving the car a polish before going so it'll get one when we come back now.

Just watched the last 30 mins....lots of thrills and spills even in the last 30 mins...Amazing what racing adds on do to a car...The BMW Alpina B6 and Z4 racers looked stunning.

Well after a wet start Miles and Missus T,Pat (masersod and wife ) Enzo, Kaz and Myself with Manilo duly collected from MK coach station Peter(masser1) arrived at the Folly pub, followed shortly after by Maurizio (Bigfoot) and his lovely wife and three of the cutest liluns you ever saw , tucked into a much needed breakfast , then off for a quick dash to the Silverstone track . Still very cold wet and windy was really looking towards a bleak day , watched a race from the stand just by Copse corner , still freezing me nuts off , then took a wander down the regalia outlets which was at the rear of the pit lane workshops , grabbed another much needed cup of coffee to warm the cockles and wandered into the Vitaphone workshop to try and grab a few pickies expecting fully to get kicked out , around the entrance i was greeted by a smile a mile wide on Enzo , fortunately he had accompanied Manilo into the workshop and of course Italian mechanics to an Italian enthusiasts led to us all being invited in to watch the the cars being set up race ready and also to watch the race from the inner sanctum so to speak LIFE Had just got a helluva lot better and warmer . Then JP and his mate rob joined us and couldn't believe there luck
Absolute bliss to see them all in action take as many photo's as we liked chat with the drivers and techs indeed the world champ himself who we all had our photo with, thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience a first for me aswell to be pitside great day will post some picks soon as im able to reduce them

Unfortunately one of Maurizio's liluns took ill and he shot off early, and missed the best bit , i do hope he is ok and you all got home safe Maurizio, do keep us posted , you are part of this family aswell now you know

regards loz

Wow, what a day! Watched the GT3's from the BRDC grandstand with views across Brooklands and Luffields corners. Several spins and three offs. Great viewing! Then a wander down the Paddock to grab a burger and a wander over to the car club displays (not great). Then back to the Paddock for a coffee (to get the feeling back into very cold hands) and what we expected to be a very brief foray into the Vitaphone garage. How wrong were we! I cannot believe we watched the 2 cars leave the garage (immense machines up close), were able to stand on the pit wall for the pre-race preparations, and then back to the garage to watch the race on the monitors with the Vitaphone team! Unbelievable! You'd never have that opportunity at F1. Still buzzing now. Photo's to follow, but here's a taster.

One driver even managed to podium after having been inexplicably decapitated!
