After my *very great fun* drive, this morning thought I'd check a few bits out.
New wiper blades (courtesy of eBay and the previous threads. So far seem pretty good. I don't normally touch anything other than Bosch, but for £5.49....)
Alarm system: Is it possible to silence the siren, or more accurately *un* silence it? When armed, the indicators blip 3 times (as opposed to the manual's suggested twice) and there is no sound.
I armed it, unlocked the door and opened it with the key, and although the indicators went off, no sound.
I have seen similar things o the Alfa 156 where they smartly put the siren in the front wheel well to protect the body from road spray by sacrifice. Is this similar on the 4200 or something else?
Finally: Setting the seat memory. I clearly have a slightly dodgy 'M' button on the driver's side, but position correctly stored. What it *won't* do is move forward when the seat back is tilted.
I tried the reset in the manual (key in stop, open door, forwards, stop, backwards, stop, forwards, stop, backwards, stop, tilt seat back and wait for it to move all the way forwards and backwards twice). I would have to wait until approximately the heat death of the universe it seems. Is there a trick to the reset, or am I missing a switch / something.
I don't really mind, since pretty much no one will ever get in behind me, but...
Cheers
