Ah, well spotted... in fact it was a red 400SE with SEAC rear spoiler and that was the closest to it, and my GTA Turbo sadly wasn’t a Le Mans edition but I found the model cheap .

The SEAC and Le Mans were my dream cars as a teenager, had 2 TVRs but never an Alpine.

Well you’ve got some airbrush and assembly skills then!
Do you make dioramas for them too?
Used to love modelmaking.

Sorry to disappoint you, I didn't build them , I bought them from a guy , I haven't got that much patience

All my childhood models went up in spectacular explosions around the 5th of November every year :D

good to know that many in the forum are collectors as well. Why not... given that I can’t afford to collect the real thing.

i don’t have to tell you which is my favourite...

I have to admit to same geekiness although I have 98 to find :-(. Made a start a couple of years back...

one cabinet full and top two shelves of another so far,,View attachment 80324View attachment 80325
Bottom photo – Top shelf – Second from left. Good taste in choice of spyder, but wrong colour!

Top Photo – I would find it too tempting not to put another model of a man immediately behind the woman at the back of the Europa (just to bring down the tone)!!

My half hearted attempt at replicating George Harrison's psychedelic Radford Cooper S using the Tamiya 1/24th scale kit....

Can’t hold a candle to many of these but have a few of the recent road cars I own or have owned in 1:18 and a recent collection of 1:43 Masers that I got from the company website going cheap.... €9.95 each!

The 1:18 Grancab was a GT that I cut the roof off. Not a bad job IMO but the screen header rail is too thin. Photo of my Mrs with Chris Evans on the shelf below was taken when we did his Children in Need Magnificent 7 drive in 2010. His ego has no bounds but he proved he is a genuine petrolhead.

The Le Mans 1:18 contenders are bookended by the AM DBR1 from 1959 and DBR9 from 2008. Signed photo of Shelby and McQueen behind, being my some of my greatest all time Heroes. I met Shelby at Le Mans once and he didn’t disappoint but regrettably too young to have done same with Steve. 803658037580376

You also appear to have a framed photo of actor Jack Hawkins laughing his head off....! ;)

Nice collection there.
