They are selling dual cast front brake discs cheap too. I am holding out for sm ones but if anyone needs them now might be worth a look.

They are cover plates....if you were to jack off them, you would crush all your brake and fuel lines and thats before the floor pan caves in.

Only fitted to QP and GT, not on the 4200 or earlier.

Just rust proof the new ones before you fit them. New ones were about £20 from Eurospares.

And they’ve arrived today. Nice and quick service from HR OWEN. Just the powder coating to arrange now.

Ditto.
Took bolts out to get some replacements in stainless. For each plate there are 2x M8, 18mm below hex with a 15mm dia. Washer and 1x M12x35mm below hex with a captive 24mm Dia. x 3mm thick washer + a 28mm dia. x 3mm washer. The bolt has a reduced end, not sure why.558125581355814

I’d ordered the new bolts from HR OWEN but seeing the state of yours in the pictures and assuming they’re original spec, I think I’ll go down the same route.

I guess if you fit new Maserati bolts and give them some good protective treatment, they'll be OK.

I once had some fancy plated nuts and bolts on the underside of an air-cooled Porsche, but they still got ruined within a year having driven through cow ****. I wasn't too pleased.

Like others, I'm going to get my GTS freshened up soon. Not that it's bad at all, I'm just an anorak for detail.

I have just ordered these from eurospares with the fixings as well as the spacer bar between the 2 back boxes, cos it looks like its heading the same way, with its fixings for £70 incl delivery. They have them all in stock.

Missing out on a group buy here chaps I reckon I would show them to a fabrication company and get some pressed out and protected properly would cost very little in my opinion.

These must be like anodes on a ship!

Not fitted on a 4200 or GS, here the subframes are the sacrificial part!

After what I have seen just sorting out the QPV subframe be careful driving them in the winter months without suitable protection.
A new subframe was £6,000 plus VAT on a car worth £10,000.

at the risk of sounding dim, why on earth would anyone spend 6k on a 10k motor

And my expenses too coming over from France along with Brakes and Bushes all around plus service items makes it a nice motor now.
Each to their own.
