the 1.9 diesel sounds good....
Sadly, yes. Those who commented said it wasn't a sound they woul associate with an Alfa Romeo, especially one as pretty as the GT. Any talk of fuel economy, torque etc fell on deaf ears! I drove both the 2.0 petrol and diesel GTs - the diesel is the better car with that engine size. They stopped making V6s before the Blackline version was releasedSo roaring down the road sounding like a tractor.....?????
That's exactly how I feel, it would have been far easier to accept if it had been rear ended or something, knowing that the car could be repaired (albeit at huge expense) makes it more difficult. I'll always have fond memories of my 145, had great fun in it, did some trackdays and some good road trips, it has been totally reliable contrary to Alfa's reputation. I wanted to keep it going to at least 200000 miles, when people asked what car I had and then went on about reliability etc when I told them, it was always really satisfying to say "well, actually its done 140000 miles and has never let me down..."
I agree. Miss her in a way....
