No sorry, still not really feeling it. Reasonably well polished Al perhaps. I expect that better surface prep would help a lot.

@Sprogs was the chap that used to do them for us, worth sending him a PM

From memory they were high tensile stainless and the quality was amazing.

£200 was a figure I seem to remember.

If you do fit them only ever torque them to 105nm and no more.

I had the factory originals replated twice and they still rusted, so I got a set from Sprogs from the forum about 5 years ago. They are still the nicest looking bits on the car! A quick buff with a microfibre cloth and they still look brand new.
I always torque them up properly so I hope I don't have a problem with shearing or shattering like others have had.
