Go retro for a while to get you through the summer and wait for prices to soften further in the winter. I can help you out with a 2010 Audi A5 S-Line Cabriolet, petrol, manual, 1 owner and 5K miles. Yes 5K miles, but still main dealer serviced on the dot every year. Driver seat the only one ever sat in and never driven in the rain. Basically as new. Sorted for the summer and for less than the depreciation will be over 12 months in any of the above ;)

It’s not different enough to the DB11 for me...

That's where they buggered it up, in my humble. Both are last-gen Mercedes tech inside, and once you're sat in a DBSS you could as easily be sat in a DB11. Watch the Harry Metcalfe review of the Vantage - he rated it above the DBSS, reckons it wins hands down on the smiles per £ scale, and is more usable.

Still, the DBSS is so lovely on the outside I could forgive its dated interior... if I had a shed-load of cash which I didn't mind watching depreciate.

Lambos seem to depreciate more slowly.

Will be interested to see what the next manual drives like Adam.....The limited edition one I saw at Goodwood looked pretty mean and stunning. Wonder when a convertable version of the new Vantage will appear.

Iain, just wait for the new Maserati sport coupe - we have been promised it is imminent so surely you won't have long to wait ...
I would as it looks beautiful.. if... 1) it wasn’t a hybrid 2) I believed it was coming 3) undoubted depreciation and poor GFVs !!

Got one of those thanks . No need to buy one. It’s mainly the run to and from work I want to spice up. I just can’t do normal cars.
You’re running out of abnormal cars!

I still reckon you miss your original granturismo. £ for £ i suspect you haven’t bought anything since which has been significantly better for the way it made u feel.
Technology wise yes, but emotive?

An Atom! Nearly as bonkers as you are Iain....no disrespect or offence meant btw

You have to be the SM chop and changer of the decade. Even I do t have as many movements as your garage sees.

I'd seek counciling from a top head doctor......will be much more cost effective

Atomically I may be able to assist. Not too good for those requiring to wear a suit tho....

Cos they’re mutton dressed as lamb.
This over that Merc gt I suggested earlier? Are u on your own anesthetic?
Agree with you.
Didn't really want to take a backwards step and go german. I dont mind stepping sideways though.
Even caught myself looking at the new Vantage earlier
You might be right about £ for £ and the GTs.
The California Ironically felt the best value for money for how it made me feel...
If the right spec Cali T came out at the right price i can imagine it would be hard to resist.

Nice position to be in and you’ve had some incredible cars.
Enjoy the next chapter.

I just need to settle with one now. Find a car - soulmate. At least its cheaper than swapping wives every 8 months!
Not sure you’ll find a soulmate but it is cheaper than swapping wives.
Good luck with the search, it’s great reading what you’re up to here. Enjoy.
