Any update? Has Urby found a bed without bugs? Can Benny manage 4 days in a row without saying *$¥#?

Nantwich calling, Nantwich calling, our homegrown hero Urby is cracking a blinder, apart from his choice of towns with gibberish names. Tonight, it appears that he’s in somewhere called Vertuil-Sur-Charente, which is about 10-15 miles SE of Ruffec. Never heard of the place, but it looks like it was named by an Irishman trying to say Rough **** with a french accent. For those with a ‘big picture’ idea of the beast, he’s mid point between the German submarine base of La Rochelle, and Limoges, which used to be the garrison town of ‘Das Reich’ Panzer Regiment. At this rate, God willing, he’ll be free and clear of la france in the next 3 or 4 days. Bon chance!

Hope everyone reading this is inspired enough to donate for Ryan and others. I never met the young lad, but no one deserves to go through so much at a young age. Urby should be an inspiration to us all taking on this epic journey, to get up a make a change where we can.

Looking forward to shaking his hand next time we meet.

Nantwich calling, Nantwich calling; our low hung acquaintance Urby is now stationary in Nouvelle-Aquitaine which is just about mid way between Bordeaux and Limoges. I take my hat off to him, and wish him freedom from cyclist’s ar5e and other such maladies, although impotence isn’t much of a worry for him. If anybody reading this hasn’t yet contributed to the cause please reconsider, as this is some effort from a Septuagenarian. We are very nearly at £3K which will help to find a cure for this in-discriminatory, and hateful disease. Thanks to everyone who has donated, you are all stars. Thank you. Regards.

Nantwich calling, Nantwich calling; our oldest International cyclist has reached some flop hole situated about 15-20 miles to the east of Tarbes. It would appear he is now within a days ride of Spain, which has to be a good feeling! For anyone who hasn’t yet contributed to Urby’s magnificent effort, there is still time to do so. Apologies for the missing updates over the last couple of days, I’ve been flattened by a freight train called COVID. Do yourself a favour and don’t catch it, a 4 day headache gets old after the first 30 minutes. Take care out there.

Thanks for the update, I for one am cheering him on from the comfort of my living room -

Really Good to be following Urby on this and donation made for a Good cause.
Met Ryan twice once at Ace Cafe and again at Llandow for a forum trackday which was a fair trek from Cheshire.
Full Respect to Peter doing this and peace and love to Ian and his good lady.

Nantwich calling, Nantwich calling; tonight, Urby has stopped in some place known locally as Cadeilhan-Trachere or some such nonsense. I messaged him and he said he was start to feel it. Of course, I sympathised with his physical maladies, and told him to stop whining and crack on. I think the thing that is keeping him going is the thought of reaching Spain tomorrow. I personally don’t have as much against the Spanish than I do the french, but their animals rights abuses against cows and Donkeys needs to be addressed at some point. Thank you for your contribution Newton, and your kind words Phil. As for Urby, he’ll have broken the back of this challenge once he gets over the Pyrenees, if they don’t break his first.

Is he doing the 280 route?

Has he been booked in for a new pair o' knees, hips and nuts after his epic trip? The bionic Urby will need some TLC and likely a full resto-mod by the time he makes it back to Blighty.
