Quattroporte Vs Listed For Sale

Each to their own in terms of taste. I would like one in a dark Verde with Cuoio trim but suspect it is a unicorn and, with probably only 20-30 cars left worth owning in the UK, we can't always be so definitive. Personally, I steer clear of sunroofs when I can.
This ticks a few of your boxes… I’ve only ever been aware of one Verde Goodwood GT S in the UK.

I love the sunroof on mine, it’s nice to open that up when it’s a little cold to put the windows down… granted, it was the source of ALL water ingress in my Renault Clio, hopefully that won’t be the case here.

Sounds to me like the Quattroporte is more of a gateway Maserati. Everyone would "love to buy it but..."

You buy a QP then move on to other things
What a fantastic buy. Makes the other two for sale with the same miles look expensive. Plus as it is Dicky you know you are in safe hands.

Is this still for sale?

It is still for sale on Dicky’s web site but you would need to speak to him as him may have a deposit as he takes them down once the deal has been concluded.

Whatever is all this? "Buy a QP then move on?"
Not likely my friend. I'm not parting with mine. She's a keeper.

If you should be so fortunate as to see one you like being offered for sale......get in there! And for goodness sake be quick.
I expect you'll find you want to keep her.
You could always ask @Dman666 what he thinks.....
Or take a look at what @makeshiftUK is and is not driving.

Hmm it appears to have saved a post I never finished as I couldn’t put it in to words then when I posted asking if it’s still for sale it posted the rest of my draft. Woops

Ah yes, WX60BAU. But the interior is a bit too brown for me. If only it had been cream.

Is there any evidence that this happens? Seems unlikely - I think there are mostly 'saloon people' and 'coupé people' and there is not a lot of overlap.

I think this is more like it. Personally I *need* a saloon right now, or I'd have another coupe. Or people may own both.
Certainly I still wonder if I should have got a QP as opposed to the Ghibli

Man do I regret posting that.

I was meant to delete it.

I was meant to say that you buy a QP V then fall for the brand then move on to GranTurismos, ACs etc etc.

But then I realised that’s probably not true as the QP V is amazing so never intended to post it.
Don't sweat it, it would be boring if everyone had the same opinion!

In my (limited) experience of the Maseratis I went to see before settling on mine, I noticed the logbooks typically had a high number of owners - I figure people who jumped into them, loved the experience for a year or two and moved onto the next thing... and a few month's into QPV ownership myself I'd be fibbing if I said I didn't think about what next I could jump into within the Maserati range, a Strad or something.

HOWEVER - I'm almost four years in and, for my personal circumstances (i.e. having two kids), I wouldn't willingly move on from my QPV... I say willingly because nothing is ever certain and I found myself on the wrong end of a 'reduction of workforce' recently. The QPV to me is a very special, cantankerous Italian, financially ruinous and in GT S flavour a rare, gorgeous and aurally potent thing. Roll on year 5!

Are QP Vs really ruinous? I did a lot of research and a part from a pricey service every 2 years I haven’t seen any regular issues with them except subframe corrosion and the variators I think it was?
