Well spotted Bigbob, forgot about that. It would have been registered Nov or Dec 08 and I don't think you can put 6 months on it so that's not going to be possible. I can put one on it for you Wattie, as long as Marios checks it first. Anything required will be covered anyhow as it's still got one on it now.

Its funny, you hear a lot of bad things about them, mainly related to how they manage themselves in public and their attitudes, specifically the younger Hartleys.

However, you don't often hear bad about their cars/products - makes me wonder if the whole racist/chav comments made on social media are all merely a publicity stunt, and a successful one at that.

I've heard plenty of argument when it comes to TH, but I do know that when it comes to their Classics, they do not cut any corners, and I mean any! Shiltech have been involved in about half a dozen of the current stock shown on the website, and they have two more in work at the moment. If they need to spend £50K / £100K or a re-build to get concourse / Classiche, then they do. I've seen three of the current stock myself. Full nut and bolt restoration and truly works of art.

I always knew TH had some nice stock but that's some list of cars for sale. The V8 is good value, the QP is the joint cheapest car he's got!

Not for me I'm afraid, I've never been impressed with them. I've got two mates who bought them and both sold them within 5 months and Ryan rated it the worst performance car he ever drove/experienced.

Yes, but there is a whole world of difference between the performance of the V8 and the V12. However, Bob sold his because the big doors, small windows and black leather made it feel very claustrophobic inside. He said it was like driving whilst looking through a letter box. Ryan said the V8 had a very heavy clutch, a notchy gearbox, wasn't that quick, rolled in the corners and it's brakes weren't that great either. The Dream Drivers instructor put him out in the Vantage first so he could learn the track before driving the other 3; he didn't want to 'waste his time in the good ones'. I go out quite a lot with Astons various, including Vantage V12s and DBSs and I still not impressed. BTW, only 3 people have complained about the noise mine makes and all 3 drive Astons. They really don't like being out shouted and they seem to get really sniffy when they are.

Shame it isn't a gt 4.7 -but maybe it would be better than a gt 4.2?
Do you think I should re-evaluate, Bob?

That's an idea. Saloons will always be cheaper and if you will do low miles then that car is an interesting bet.

I know of a belter of a 4.7 QP for sale at £40k. Secrets of the trade, don't know if anyone else spotted this. It is listed as a 4.2, at 4.2 money. Dvla and hpi say 4.2, it's actually a 4.7, signified by the grille, the red rocker covers and yes, I've checked the chassis no with Maserati. I have full stock at present but this would otherwise have been on my books. Someone buy it, great value car in a stunning combo, massive spec. If it's stands up to a ppi, and has Fmsh as they state, should've had it's second service in November, then what a deal, 6 figures when new, 18000 miles ago. Don't tell them you know it's a 4.7, if they don't know what they're selling, hard luck!

I've said it 1000 times (mostly to myself), I'd bloomin' love one of these. That one ^^^ is perfick. I'm about £200k short though.

(need a new house before next toy)
