So the engine is in pieces. You can see the amount they've grond off the head by the non circular ciircumference on the right hand chamber. The damage to the block needs to be seen as it can be quite destructive according to Andrew Brodie (mega expert on these engines). These sodium filled valves were used on a variety of 70's supercars (I think the Uracco was one) and the valve head breaks off where in meets the stem due to corrosion. Some picture in the club mag were quite scary.

Don't know if you remember but last year one came up on ebay on sale here in the UK that was in a similar state and had been apart for a good few years. It was being sold off as a project with the engine in pieces and it was a red car too. You have to wonder why they hadn't been put back together if it was so straight forward.

This car is also an early one with the SM dash, not the one I would go for, intermediate or SS with the Bora dash.

Wow, what a state it's in !

You have to be desperate to take that on and also patient to source everything (impossible maybe). Oh limitless funds would help.......

As Enz says what a shame.

good luck if someone buys it, i certainly wouldn't have the balls to take on a project like that.

It would make a prop for a film set but beyond that its curtains; cant believe there is two people bidding!

Would be fantastic to find out who\where the new owner is and if it is for a full restoration...
would love to see that :D
