Posted by LuSIfer, 23,132 posts. If he spent less time posting and more time working, he might think a 750 quid service quite reasonable!

I'll second that at 18K posts...the price of servicing is scandalous....;).....;)

I've just whored a pic of my car on there, as someone living in Scotland said he saw one go past at lunchtime - if Edinburgh that will've been me - pretty sure there are no other red 3200s here!

Will watch out for you. I was in Edinburgh yesterday. Next week too.

To be honest it's usually shut away in the garage during the week...but wave if you happen to see me. You'll be the only GT owner that waves ;)

Majority of comments on the 3200 on that pistonheads link are very positive (usually threads end up with whatever car it is being slated, the Pistonheads forum being what it is!).

I was surprised we didn't get more negative commnets, but fetl compelled to reply anyway. People forget that all 'sports cars' cost money to run, in servicing and replacment items. AT least the myth of 911 costing nothing to run and lasting forever is being diluted by the introduction of water coolled engines.

Many Bee-Em fans claim fixed price services make M3 sensible everyday choice.
*only guy I know with an M3 claimed every service was at least a grand.

It comes with the territory, if you cant afford to run a performance car you can't afford to buy one. It seems to me that a lot of the negative contributors have borrowed one, nearly bought one or had a ride with a mate who had one but the decision not to buy one was based on a fleeting acquaintance. They obviously missed the Maserati magic that comes with owning one, taking one out when you want to because it makes you feel, oh so special and driving it for drivings sake. They should stick to Porsches, because owning a Porsche doesn't take any imagination.

Think that pretty well sums it up for me too.

Never got to grips with the PH Gassing Station or whatever it's called. Can't see me bothering either: too much 'noise' from the little I've read.
