Laval this afternoon was absolutely Stunning especially as I had to endure a little clothes shopping with Ms French.

I've been re-watching a lot of late '60s / early '70s Italian made 'giallo' and 'politzia' films again lately and the pan-European locations look fantastic in period, mostly unspoilt too, much like your pics Phil, but shot on 16mm or 35mm film stock making them look even more exotic. Not all of those Italian financed films were shot in Italy, there's one called 'The Red Queen Kills Seven Times' which was shot in Austria in late '71 / early '72 which looks fantastic on screen. One of the main characters drives an orange Porsche 914 which changes to a red one half way through the film, while one of the oh so glamorous women drives a mustard coloured Innocenti Mini 1000 with Exacton alloy wheels (similar to Dunlop D1s). The Bruno Nicolai soundtrack is superb.

A few pics of the day taken at a well attended MITCar in Burghley house. Met Skiman and Cyclone1 - really nice folks. No so many Maseratis - all pictured below. Lots of Alfas (unsurprisingly). A couple of the Montreals looked wonderful and the Alfa 8C is looking, dare I say it, a bit dated (esp. the interior). Can't fault the beautiful swooping lines but just feel it's not aging as well as some of the other Alfas. A couple of GTV 3.0 V6s - I have quite a hankering for my old black one!

And, great weather!

Yes, it was a good day.
The 5th picture has captured me chatting with the guy with a black top on, he is the owner of the gorgeous gta next to us, he was telling how well Alfa have looked after him and the jollies they have taken him on since his purchase.
6th picture is my Gansport.
The 8c and the red Montreal next to it are owned by the same chap, you may have noticed they both had CDR registrations.
Also met our Nathan from this forum with his new purchase, have to say it looked very nice.
Lastly I did congratulate you on your car when you drove past me on your way out.

Re: The Pantera:
Excuse my ignorance, but what does the word "homage" mean in this instance. It looks very original to my untrained eye.
