Well it’s a genuine Pantera, but not an original racing car of the period but have been made to “pay homage” to a specific car of the era.Re: The Pantera:
Excuse my ignorance, but what does the word "homage" mean in this instance. It looks very original to my untrained eye.
In this instance it means it looks like a race car but isn’t. There’s a load of stuff on that that means it couldn’t be used for Le Mans Classic etc. I never understand why people do these cars that aren’t actually eligible for stuff.Re: The Pantera:

In my view the Pantera is one of those cars that was styled right from the start, big arches and wings never really suited itI would be rather chuffed to have this in my garage

Love the rear wheels
Three wheels on my wagon but I'm still rolling along
It does seem like a lot of work to create a 'race car' that's got limited scope to race, but you could say that about a whole raft of cars - and it is nice to see them. Farnborough last year:I would be rather chuffed to have this in my garage

Totally agree, the Mangusta, in a 70s appropriate colour, is in my top 5 lottery win car list despite all its flawsI certainly wouldn't say no to a Pantera but to me the Mangusta is the better looking car, particularly the front on view...

Yep, there is a reason why modern cars don't weigh under 900KGSWhat was that? A Lancia Fulvia?
You get the feeling the last thing that went through the drivers mind was that engine!I love driving old cars but this scene really makes you appreciate how safe many cars are today.
