the bit about keeping the car as damaged is novel

"This is an interesting car, now belonging to Ronnie Anderson, it was damaged on a stage rally in the north of England in the seventies. Ronnie has kept the car like this ever since, and it is remarkably original. It sports all original wiring loom, panels, works engine with twin split webbers. The shell is original too. Despite the damage, (which is not terminal) it is fantastic to see a car like this, unrestored and oozing originality. Ronnie has so much enthusiasm for the car, and travels many miles to show it off. It is so enlightening to see, it will be almost a shame to ever see it restored. If it were mine, I think I would leave it just as it is. Wonderful! (Guy Smith)"

"As it is today - bent, but original!"

Helpful. I just assumed Phil tripped and fell into it whilst not watching where he was walking.
