Was there ever an actual E24 M6? I thought all were 635i.
The 635 CSi used the 3.5-litre M30 – this actually formed the basis of the famed Group A touring cars as homologating the M635 CSi was impossible, as it was third more expensive than the 635 and you had to sell 5000, which wasn't going to happen as the 635 was already more expensive than most people's houses.
The M635 CSi used the M88/3 (as did the E28 M5), which was a derivative of the one that powered the M1.

The M635 CSi is a great thing, though not quite as sporty as you might imagine; very much a GT. However, a 635 CSI with the short-ratio box is a fantastic machine, a lot sportier. Drove one on Modern Classics and was rather taken with it. However, the holy grail is this... when I was at Alpina last year they had two identical cars there. The heritage fleet example and one in for restoration.

that is a lovely machine and just love the interior and those recaros, must be fairly rare beasts

My first Sifu had a 635CSi. Dark green. Only travelled in it a couple of times, but was mightily impressed as a 19yo. Amazingly it's still taxed and MOT'ed, although doing very few miles now

Nice, I don’t normally like white cars, but that looks good.

They have some nice stuff there at hexagon.
Not sure which way my imaginary 200k budget would go.
My favourite 911 in a great colour, or for the same money, 2 cars, the xk120 plus the virtually new Evora GT410.
I’m liking those at the moment, about to be discontinued sadly, multi cyl, manual, hydraulic steering, great sound.

The 964 is a peach, love the colour.
Love this as well.

Somewhat before my usual era of interest but this is lovely https://www.hexagonclassics.com/lancia
