The German guy has been trying to sell this thing for years. (assuming it's still the same owner). I think they wanted EUR 1m+ or so.

"This is Satan's car in every way" haha...

Love it. Extreme financial wealth would certainly see an MC12 under my cheeks.

The problem I see (beside money of course) is that the best MC12 is not the Stradale but the Corsa version which is not street legal and can't be used in any official competition. Essentially an FXX without a back up team or organised testing. Pretty pointless.

The above car may have been made road legal in Germany but not sure you can transfer the "legality" across all EU countries.

I'd love one, but £1m? I'd have a Zonda and a couple of other cara for that sort of cash. Tis a beast though.

Unfortunately it's an oddity that satisfies neither of it's potential buyers...

If you're a seriously wadded up petrolhead driver wanting a road legal hyper-car, then go for the Stradale. (If you're a sane seriously wadded up petrolhead driver wanting a road-legal hyper-car, then go for the Enzo or the Pagani)
If you're a seriously wadded up petrolhead collector wanting the best of the breed with racing provenance, then go for the Corsa.

If you're a seriously wadded up petrolhead madman, then buy this beautiful mongrel and watch your investment disappear up it's tailpipes before your very eyes.

Best avoided IMHO.

I'm so very pleased that you've all rationalised it out of court. It gives me a little more time to save up for it.

As a mad petrol head I would watch my investment disappear up it tail pipes Miles...........Why would the want a common Enzo or Pagani when you can have this one of stunner...........Apart from holding its value of course......

Don't get me wrong, I love the MC12's Andy, it's an astonishing car, but as far as I'm aware, Maserati didn't make that car, they made the Corsa and the Stradale and for that sort of money I'd want something that was as Maserati meant it to be with the added advantage that both should be sound investments. As for the Pagani and Enzo, I do think as cars to drive on roads in the real world, these will be more useable than the Stradale. The Stradale's huge for a start off and it was never really designed for road use, it's an off-shoot of the Corsa develoment

Let me add that if you're a seriously wadded up petrolhead driver wanting a former World Champion GT car, you can buy one of the (I think) 12 cars made for the FIA GT1 race series.
