Haha, small world! Just had it detailed again by Matt. Picked it up this evening. Absolutely thrilled with it.

Hi,

Yes Sport GT. To anyone considering a QP as family transport I could not recommend it more. To the Duo Select ney sayers I would say drive one with a well set up new clutch! The difference is night and day.

Regarding the new QP I expect that in a dark colour it could look quite good. I know I risk being shot down but no one is going to complain about 530 HP? I don't think that Maserati have much choice than to broaden the appeal - the current volumes probably don't support long term investment in the right technologies to be competitive. You only have to look at Aston - all their models are practically unchanged for the past 12 years. Risk being shot again!

Having said all that I am happy my car is pretty rare, special in all aspects.

Very true, the extra speed of the Duoselect box in Sport GT versions certainly helps.

The one I have at present is a Sport GT with a good clutch, night and day from an earlier model or a non-Sport GT. I have been mightily impressed by it, superb driver's car.

The Non-Sport GTs can easily be sorted via the addition of a DBW. It actually makes the shifts faster than the Sport GT!!
