Morning gents.

I couldn't see how to start a new thread so I've continued this old one.

My latest problem is my GTS has failed MOT mainly for the front upper N/S wishbone. I can't find a wishbone or even just the bushes anywhere other than £1,000 new.

What do people do when their wishbone bushes split? I've tried a couple breakers yards with no joy, mcgrath maserati and superformance can't help either.

We do weddings in it and have 1 booked up for this Saturday so it's panic stations here this morning.

Any advice would be grateful.

Cheers
Dale

Have you tried Grimaldi ( Cambridge) ? Probably your nearest indie..
If you can source the parts, and need a garage you can have a reasonable expectation will know what they are doing, I ve used Long Stratton Motors several times..Specialists in Lotus and Aston Martin.
Just sayin', as SportsItalia are on the south coast - miles away from your posted location !

You can buy the bushes separately, item 33 on the Eurospares front suspension diagram.

It’s a pain to do without the special tool, which SI have.

Edit: they don’t cost £1000.

As for starting a new thread:

Chose the section of the forum you want it to be in (in this case QP / GT / GC)

97035

Then click on “add new thread“ and type the title. When you press enter you can add the text.

Thanks for all your replies, I had forgotten how great the Maserati Community was, I used to use this site loads and enjoy it but since the car is only used for Weddings Etc now I haven't been so active here.

Thanks also to the guys who's given 'who to use' advice, but, as the car now has no MOT I've had to order the parts for delivery to be fitted by my local garage.

Zep your research regarding item 33 at Eurospares was impregnable, thanks. I'm about to order these but what's putting me off was my delivery choices, the cheapest being £14, tiny bushes that don't weigh anything - is this right?

impregnable....!!? That’s funny, if Freudian!
Too bad. Eurospares are opposite Grimaldi’s workshop too...

Unfortunately ES carriage doesn’t pan out when buying small fries...It’s a bit of an annoyance if Im honest...!

Their carriage costs and the time it takes is annoying for sure. Sometimes it is just easier to go elsewhere and I often do.

Mike Tyson taught me that word, I'm an illiterate tw@t but I like to show off occasionally.

Grimaldi's doesn't look too far to go for my next problem, I always thought Lancaster Colchester was my closest but as an Indie Grimaldi's would be better - cheers.

They've got me my the balls really though, these bushes are turning out to be like rocking horse sh1t.

Thanks to you both for confirming this is usual practise with ES
