Hi everyone,

Not new to all things Maserati but new to this site, so I thought I would introduce myself.
I am the proud owner of a Maserati3200 GT Asseto Corsa, number 68.
Just got my baby back after a service, camber reset and numerous other bits that needed doing. Good to have her back but an expensive day. The camber was out which has destroyed the two front tyres, the second pair in 6 months, at least the problem has been sorted, so am off to get a new set in the morning. Also in need of a new starter motor, that will be the next thing on the list, hopefully in a couple of weeks time at the Maserati Shed.

I am currently living in Bristol but will be moving to South Wales in May, are there any Maserati workshops any where in Wales, should work need doing..?? I normally go to the Copse in Swindon and although they have looked after me very well, they are expensive and I will need to find somewhere else to get any emergent work done, any help, info would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Stuart

Hello Stuart and welcome.

Mike at the Maserati Shed will suit you down to the ground, its not a shinny workshop, far from it, but what you do get is great service as very affordable prices.

The starter motor is as fitted on a certain French car and if you do a search you will find one can be had for about £100 and all you need to do is swap over the front casting (a couple of screws) and it goes straight on.

I am not sure who is your way for service, but I know there is a guy in Bristol, Duncan is it, who does the service work for alot of Alfas and Maseratis and his setup is similar to Mike. If you call Alfanet in Bristol, they will know who you are after and put you in touch.

Any chance of seeing some pics? oh, and there is a track day in Llandow in a few months time, how about joining in or popping down to day hi.

Cheers for the quick replies and the advice.

I am trying to work out how to get some pictures on here, not very IT i'm afraid.
The car normally sits on the drive during the week as i use the Motorbike to get to work, then its in Pencoed at the weekend where I will be moving to in April/May.
I am thinking about going to the LLandow date, dependant on what I am up to at the time. However, I doubt I will be taking my baby onto the track.

Look forward to meeting up some time.

Cheers

Stuart

I should get round to changing that post, the image upload is simpler now, just click on the tree icon in the header bar (next to the film strip icon) and you can upload or link to an image.

pic1.jpg

Then with the FROM COMPUTER tab selected, click SELECT FILE and navigate to the files on your computer, then click the UPLOAD button.

pic2.jpg

Its much simpler now.

Evening Gents,

Evening everyone,
Thanks for the messages and info on uploading, will be doing it on completion of this email.

I do intend to get to Llandow, not to get the car on track but to come and say hello. The last time I took a car on track it was my TVR Tuscan and it destroyed two front tyres.....lol

Anyway, I look forward to meeting you all.

Here are some pictures of my baby, all being well and my IT skills don't let me down.

Cheers

Stuart

I'm not that much into red cars but BY JINGO that is truly stunning. What is the official paint name of that red?
