I agree in needs to be a no frills comparatively cheap performance car, not a Sagaris replacement.

It should be way better than the Sagaris, having a better engine, better chassis, better build, etc. 500bhp of Cosworth engine in a light car designed and built by Gordon Murray, all for circa £85k in normal spec - that doesn't sound too bad to me.

What Ewan said.....Don't think you can compare to TVRs of the past......Yes I'm sure it will still have nod to the past but they will have to move the game on massively from the TVRs of the past. I loved my T350T but it wasn't a car you could just get in a drive...it had to warmed up. I was told to by specialist sets to to start her up and leave her for 5 mins before driving and then take a 10 mile drive before giving it some....if they made a car like that now they wouldn't survive....

Agreed on the price.

10~15 years ago, Maserati were producing Coupes for circa £60k, they are now twice that.

The TVR's of that ira were what, £50k? Does not sound badly priced IMHO.

Having seen the Video of the interior, despite the commentary from that odious talentless Schmee individual - I really like the look of it. They should sort out the bland steering wheel, but the button clusters, carbon and alcantara bits look lovely. With a 6. something 0-100 time that is mental, unless its a misstype.
Would be great to see it in the flesh. If they have sorted the reliability problems they could be 'doing an alfa' and created a fantastic option. The new griffith + the Guilia QV would be a nice pairing.

How so? He made a lot of money at a relatively young age in business and now spends his life owning, driving and talking about some pretty fantastic cars. Whether you like him personally or not (I find him very warring btw) seems pretty aspirational to me.......

Btw, anybody follow Sam on the Seen Through Glass YouTube channel. Really quite enjoy his stuff. His recent film where he got bird pooped while driving a vintage Ferrari in California was really very good IMHO

Not what I aspire to mate, but each to his own. Seems like a nice enough chap, but aspirational - no.

He made money in the city during a boom (good luck to him) , now makes his money talking about cars on a you tube channel. Not what you would want your kids to do, or what makes society move forwards, but good luck to him!

Oh the irony.......

Scheme started off at age 18 by creating an online electronics retailer which he quickly sold after it became a London high street shop. He then spent some time as a ski instructor in New Zealand before moving back to London. After that he started with YouTube and the rest is history.

What irony? Prey tell me....
