I love it.

Having seen what Novitec have achieved with the MC20 exhaust, I think that a wee bit of tweekery and that is a mega car. Beautiful, classic and modern at the same time. Bravo Maserati.

Looks like they have created the basis for another 10 years of Sports Maserati.
Any vids of the sound they achieved?

It's a question of perspective.
At first my plans were to have 6 MC20s. One in each colour for each day of the week (The blue on Monday obvs!) and my existing GT for Sundays. I'd still go into work till I find something else worthwhile to do.

Now, I'm not so sure. I'm sure I created a first world problems thread somewhere...

Perspective matters...

Maserati have done a very good job IMHO.
Yup, they’ve pulled off Porsche…minimalist changes.
Why change something that was beautiful to start with?
Question is, will it lure new buyers?
Those hooked will already be in love.

Does anyone else think that this car looks much smaller than the current GranTurismo? I know that chap looks rather tall, but when he is standing next to it it looks tiny
Klaus makes everyone and everything look tiny...

I thought the same... made the car look like 4200 size.

I'm interested to know what can be done without messing with any electronics as I suspect that doing that will cause warranty issues. Will a new set of pipes/cats etc be sufficient or will the new GT through codes and go into a hissy fit.

If only I knew someone with a garage that could try it when the time comes....

As I understand it the issue for noise is the particulate filter and that’s what Novitec have removed.

I think I must be the only one who's not impressed by the design; it just looks like the old car with a few tacked on bits which ruin the harmony of a car that was previously designed from the ground up.

The headlights, in particular, are gopping.

As you may have picked up I love the new GT but that red doesn’t seem to work for me. I look forward to the configurator.

:clap:I love the red! lol.

Re-the design - I also didn't like the headlights initially but they have grown on me. (still prefer the ones on the earlier car though) Love the rear, brings it up to date with the MC20 lights. The rest, well, its almost the same as the outgoing one, so that a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

I still don't like the front air intakes much, but I didn't like the ones on the 2018 car either. I don't know why they are so angular on what is otherwise an entirely curvy car.
However, I WILL put up with them if someone wants to buy me one.
