As we digress, saw the original GT this morning in wimbledon whilst I was working, never seen this colour before, with the carbon pack

That carbon bonnet would have to get a lick of white paint. For me just never suited the car not painted. The only colour that seems to get away with it is a black car.

For reasons I can’t go into but you can probably guess, I have seen a Trofeo version this morning in a similar hue to the red Anniversary GranTurismo and it looks stunning…
I hate not being able to solve puzzles :crying:

I read this morning that “Although the 2024 Maserati Granturismo will have a new engine, the grand-tourer will still ride on the existing M139 Maserati rear-wheel drive platform that has been the basis for the model since 2007.”
And the same is true for the EV model…..

I bl**dy hope not.
Not that there's much wrong with it, but surely it should have modernised.
Imagine all the reviews.... "still the same 2007 chassis... Blah blah"

I at least hope they've improved the subframe protection :(

Explains why it looks like a facelift!

Look on the positive side at least they’ll still make parts for the old one

On a positive note if true (I struggle to believe this as the production line has been disassembled) you can drop a Strad guts into it and have the sound. Win win

Scratch that….this from a better car mag! “The aging Maserati M139 platform, which also underpinned the old Quattroporte, is being replaced by Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, which is one of the concern’s four new “Skateboard” platforms that will be used across Stellantis’ 16 brands.”

phew

Nope
Just checked, mine still parked on my driveway :)
LOL, I was wondering if that might just be an early prototype of the new QP which I hope will share the same platform with the new GT!

Wild speculation but that doesn’t look like a black version of the new GT…
