When I was 30 I was in the RAF/on leave in Australia/getting out. I had a 2.0 litre Toyota Corona stationwagon and drove it around Australia. I did about 50 campsites, all the major and minor sites and cities. I had previously sold my Kawasakis (ZX6R and ZX9R).

I used to fly with some navy guys up at Topcliffe who were about your vintage. Perhaps you knew some of them; Andy Mahon, Adrian 'Fingers' Hands, Dave Bomby to name but 3. What were you, SHar, pinger or jungley?
Bomby - haven't heard that name since the 80's!
If I told you my number plate was: SP 1V?????
OMG! Blasts from the past....Fingers is my daughter's Godfather!
Fingers drove a red Lotus Esprit.
What were you doing then?

Most fun you can have in a car - Tiger Supercat. 240HP in a car weighing 700kg. About as close as anyone can get to low flying!!!

I was instructing at Topcliffe, but hated every second flying the Bulldog; an awful excuse for an aeroplane. Next time you see/speak to fingers, say 'hi' and give him a kick in the nuts from me!

I always wanted an Esprit Turbo, but not really sensible given I'm 6 4
44 this year, so 30 was a while back. My career didn't really pick up until I was 30 and got into IT

Yeah, I've been in Caterhams. They do nothing for me, seeming to be all the bad bits about a motorbike, coupled with all the bad bits about a car.
Still, each to their own :)

A friend of mine has a Caterham for sale, with loads of special stuff on it, ideal for Catman about the same size as my friend..!!

I built a 7 type car it was good fun but I had to wear a helmet and thought that it was no more than a track car and a death trap on the road, and the cobra I built wasn't far behind, but at least I didn't need the helmet in that.
Loving the 4200 by the way.

Well, picked it up this morning. Pleased enough with it so far but all I have done is a dull motorway drive back from Swindon to Staffordshire.
It looks very pretty out in the wild.
