I don't particularly like the styling, but it's one of the greatest sounding engines. It just gets the spine tingling.

Was in M-B world a couple of weeks ago - it's actully quite an inspiring place to be! Merc have a huge motorsport and sports car heritage, they are just known for mega-fast barges now and Holloywood wive's cruisers. I think the SLS might change that as it's belived to be one of the world's best cars. Saw the one above as well, red doesn't suit it *that* well. Since being in MB world, I would rather a Merc than a BMW or Audi now so it had an effect!

The 6.3 engine is epic and I was crushed (in the 4200) by the one at Llandow a couple of track days back. It's one of the reasons I spent so much uprating the car, then never got to try it out!

Also, when you're at Brooklands... all you can hear are the Merc V8s in the background on the test-track. It is indeed spine-tingling

that is a nice SLS.

MB World is fantastic, went a few years ago now, free admission and get to see some great cars, had a ride in a C55 AMG there, god that was quick.
Would like to go again at some point.


MaserSod, have to agree, the noise from the AMG's is just awesome, much better than the M cars and i am not just saying that to annoy Andy and Dem.

I respect the M cars are better balanced than the AMG's but that's it. The M3 just doesn't have that mean look compared to the C63 with the gills, deep chin spoilers and flared arches, oh and AMG enialates the M3 at in gear acceleration.

Oh Dear! - I like M's as well - had an E28 M5, always wanted another - but got a Maz now, so not quite as sure

see now that is a proper M car, last decent M car made was the E46 CSL or E60 M5. Would not have an M car over an AMG now.
