Welcome Tim

A select bunch us GT owners, we can laugh at those poseurs with their flappy paddles as we crawl in traffic with ease and parallel park. Few of us skilled drivers left now. :)

Seriously though, my clutch bite is normal and not that high so as Dicky says you may have some wear there - any idea when it was last changed? They do tend to last a tad longer in the manuals as I understand it. Loz drove about with a borderline (CC) clutch for a long time before it went so no need to panic.

Enjoy the ownership experience, it still feels special every time, even after 3 1/2 years.

Cheers

Hello and thanks mate, yeah we seem to be a minority - but i'm more than happy with that. I chose the GT because i really didnt want flappy paddles.

The clutch feels fine, drove it this morning and had no issues. Maybe im just used to driving a car where the bite is somewhere in the middle of the whole pedal movement. There's nothing wrong with how it is, im in no means close to stalling or anything so im just gonna crack on how it is. I'll find out when it was last changed anyway.

Love the car, my only niggle is how quickly it steams up and is always steamed up when i get into it.

No regrets whatsoever though :)

If it is steamed up, check the carpets are dry first, then I'd be checking the cabin/pollen filter, it may well be full of water! Not uncommon for this to happen if the drains get blocked by debris. Threads on here covering replacement and access well, may as well change it at the same time, motor factor available Cooper one also listed on thread.

Mats are dry, but im guessing there's water somewhere. I'll give it a go getting to the filters and seeing if there's any water/**** inside. Hopefully this sorts the problem :)

Welcome to the forum Tim. Budapeststu certainly loved his Maser, so it's great to see it go to an enthusiast and new member of the forum. If the car is steaming up it might just be that it needs re-gassing, but check your window seals to make sure they're bedding securely and maybe lift the scuttle panel to make sure the fan grill isn't blocked with leaves.

Regards, Miles.
