X-Pipe is good mod because is cheap, simple & easy .

But the TRUE Best Buy are Larini Sport Cats , you gonna turn up your volume, get more power and without the x-pipe it retains the Maserati unique tone. With the X-pipe is more racer sound, and lot of pops and bangs that i love so f*cking much!

I'm also the one that loves the original sound of MC Shift.
It is a really distinctive Maserati sound as it is deeper than Ferrari.
I think, many people want to have X-pipe, to have sound closer to Ferrari sound, but for me having sound which is different from Ferrari is just another plus od GTS.
But I do understand all that have 4,2 GT, that they would want some more sound.
But with GTS MC Shift, where in sport valves are always open, the sound is really great, simply loud enough that everyone can hear it, but not too loud.

I hear you, but an x-pipe doesn’t make it sound like a Ferrari, it adds a little more volume and crackle to the same sound.

In the end it’s horses for courses, everyone likes what they like, there is no right or wrong answer to the volume question

I just made a strong offer on this on EBay but it was turned down. I assume he wants the full asking price of £450 inc delivery.

They are £520 new (delivered) from Larini - £450 second hand is too much.

And him linking to a youtube vid of a car with a custom system to suggest what the car sounds like with an xpipe is borderline misrepresentation.

I think they're currently out of stock at Larini as my nephew is waiting on a new one so if you're in a hurry, I guess £450 is still a saving & it's barely been run in Ewan.

That said, I sold a s/h Larini X at the beginning of the year for £200 so £450 is a little strong

Is it 520+VAT new from Larini? Remember the prices shown Larini website are not inclusive at VAT

No - it's £408.89 + VAT and showing in stock on the Larini website.
Oh well the saving is nominal then... it has been used (even it is 500 miles it has still been fitted and removed)

Only advantage I can see other than saving 70 quid is that it's available straight away while i believe Larini make them to order

the xpipe for the GT is showing as in stock on the Larini website

Sure the website can say that but I would still message them and make sure if it is on the shelf or not.

They fabricate everything in a workshop in the South West of England. It's not batch made a China and shipped over.

Indeed, they were not in stock earlier in the week & I believe that most of their products are made to order

I think it sold for £385 in the end - was it you, Ewan? Are you going to be annoying the neighbours soon?
