What are the criteria for each member status? When does a New Member become a Junior Member, then Member, then... ?

Ah the black art of status changes, a process only understood by our esteem leader Matt and his motley crew

Patience little grasshopper!

I think it is either 50 or 100 posts to become a senior member, Admin/Moderators are at Matt's behest as are Sea Urchin Pate and other 'special honours' and finally Centenary Club members who have chosen to donate to the forum charity of choice a minimum of £100 which has some additional benefits like early places on forum events when numbers are limited for various logistical reasons etc.

The answer is I’m not sure.

Since we migrated to the new software it got a bit messed up.

I must look into it again.

Whilst we are on the mysteries of the forum is there any way that you can mark a thread as read without having to click into it? There's quite a bit on 42s, 32s etc which I don't feel the urge to read.

If you go to the section you don’t want to read there is a “mark as read” button at the top.

I can clarify that SMDRP status is instantly available to junior members if they desire it.,,,,normally reserved for elite members of the forum.
What do you say Junior..,,,or are you destined to join the SMUPPITS?

Indeed, though motley crew is a tad naive. SMFUCOFF, and SMDRP membership is a bit like the Ivy League of secret societies....think of us as the Illuminati of the Knights Templar, the elderly skull and bones of the Bilderberg masons if you like.
SPECIAL.
Unlike those with special needs.

Yes but doesn't that mark everything as read including the ones I do want to see or am I missing something. I was looking for something similar to when you get an email, you can mark it read without having to open it.

You can do a section of the forum. So go to Coupe/Spyder/Gransport and then mark as read.

Does it matter? To clarify, I'd rather listen to a "no-one" who knows what they're talking about than someone who thinks they are someone because they have a lot to say. Plenty of those about in all walks.
