Cheeky bastards treating our people like that.

A couple of chancers whining to the Daily Telegraph because a 1m-person refugee crisis and a desperate fight against an invasion by the 6th-biggest army in the world was "chaos", and that the Ukrainian military was a bit indignant that they hadn't come to join up. Their nightmare only ended when they, um, "just got back on the bus". Phew!

‘A couple of chancers’ not sure I agree. One was an ex paramedic and the other a combat medical technician. A combat medical technician (CMT) is a soldier with a specialist military trade within the Royal Army Medical Corps of the British Army.

They should've had more respect for our blokes and might be a good idea for the Ukrainians to avoid having a battalion of neo-Nazis in their armed forces especially when your are next to a country that lost 27 million people to the Nazis. Fcuk em

And then some of the journalists get upset because they are held to account to provide facts not opinion.....

Yes. This is what’s troubling about the Sarah Cadwalladr stuff at the moment. She’s getting roundly praised for the stuff she’s reported on, standing up to Russia and so forth, which has led to criticism of the BBC and other outlets for not having her on. There is a good reason why not - in the libel trail with Arron Banks she profoundly farked it up in court, which has sadly tainted absolutely everything she says and news organisations are rightly concerned about what else might land them in legal bother…
Which is a shame as she’s on point with a lot of what she says.

Yeah, that might have been a bit harsh. But it still seems like a non-story, unless someone is desperately looking for a 'bad Ukrainians' angle.

I expect the Ukranians are a bit too busy to kow-tow to a couple of random British medics. More like the normal busy military cok-up, where there was a misunderstanding by a very busy corporal who doesn't speak much English, and they got put on the wrong bus, so they got all huffy and complained to the newspapers.

Anyone want to WhatsApp random Russians to tell them what's going on

There might be a downside from this , a couple of guys have had their WhatsApp accounts deleted because of the amount of Russians blocking them , it triggers a spam blocker if you get blocked from a few accounts , it's all good once you let the know them what you're doing

'Them' would be Facebook, yes? Or Meta? The spawn of so much evil?

Just making sure I understand who 'them' and 'us' is today ;)

What in the Daily Telegraph? It's hardly the Morning Star.

Well, it was first published in the DT but immediately picked up by Breitbart, which is a reminder that there is a right-wing authoritarian agenda, which goes, 'Putin is right to secure his borders, even at the expense of Ukraine'.

Also I expect it is part of the DT's instincts to try to discredit a country that is generating a refugee influx.

Plus the DT got what it wanted by provoking your 'more respect for our blokes' reaction.

I don’t think the Daily Telegraph had that on their minds when they posted that article, that’s going down the route of crazy conspiracy theories.
