If you can afford a Ferrari there ain’t no crisis IMO :auto14: But having taken out a bright yellow hurucan spyder for a drive today- it could be argued that might fall into the aforementioned category. Hence I declined.

Confession time: I like Maclarens. A 720S and a 600LT would be a bundle of laughs. Trouble is, reliability, depreciation and possibility that my wife might be right when she says that I'd look like a complete and utter bellend in one.
I see some clever female psychology at work here.
Your Mrs would see much much more of you if you bought a McLaren.
It would be constantly broken down outside your house and you’d be staying in a lot more as a result.
Bellend BS, she’s delighted you’ve got a car that gets you out;)

I also love the....Apart from the Senna which is a dogs dinner of design they look great. When ai drove a 12c against the Ferrari and Lambo on track it was quicker, handles better and was more fun out of e three ....well it was for me.....I Think these days most people think that anyone in a McLaren, Lambo, Ferrai etc looks like a bellend...especially over 50...add a Convertable to that and that is one midlife crisis....Wouldnt stop me having a McLaren though bellend or not. ......The a World is a changing for our love affair with these cars. We are a minority these days.....

12C, not 4C? But yeah, you’re right, Andy, middle-aged bloke in a two-seater does scream ‘midlife crisis’ quite loudly. To me it screams ‘finally, some spare cash!’ :)

I dont rate them...The guy who penned them is a big hitter, no doubt.
The first X5. (No beauty queen, lets be honest)
Then he penned both the rehashed the BMW Mini reiteration, and the Fiat 500. Both undeniably successful cars. The 500 basically rescued Fiat from liquidation. Both overtly derivative design objects though...
Its subjective, of course. I dont get Zagatoes stuff either.
Each to their own....
He also did the updates to Giuigiaro’s 3200 for the 4200/GranSport...

Interesting- spot the trend with this guy. I think he has carved a niche for himself. Works well under pressure ( X5 was seriously demanding ground up, time pressure project) and rehashing old favourites..Note, not the same thing as an update (IMO)...
Sorry..but those surfboards...!

Red Ferrari 2 seaters are. The rest are not. Lusso, F12, FF, 812 in nice colours are not.

It’s almost impossible to get a subtle McLaren. You either will look like you’re having a crisis or that you want more views on your YouTube channel. You will certainly not look classy.

I know you’ve got one but for me the FF is too shouty compared with the old Ferrari 4 seaters. It’s the family man’s mid life crisis.

Fair enough but for me its the need to carry children that swung it over an F12. Mid life crisis for me is clothes that I’m too old to be wearing!!

I like the interior especially in tan, I just wish they’d made the exterior less fussy, not that I’ll ever be able to afford one. I think there’s a whole generation of Ferraris where they’ve tried to out Lamborghini Lamborghini.

Who gives a s h i t what other people think you look like behind the wheel of a car you want... by the time you are 100 yards away they will be criticising someone else.

The only opinions that matter are from those who you respect.

Each to their own....

I've had no issues with Sytner owned dealerships either such as Porsche Edinburgh and Graypaul Ferrari Edinburgh however I can imagine that not all are great, given the scale of the group. I did had a crappy experience with their Alpina dealership when they sold a car I was discussing with them to someone else and didn't tell me for a few days or give me the chance to react. I understand first come, first served and all that however there were 9 Alpina F11 D5 Tourings imported so I couldn't just find another!

I wouldn't buy a McLaren for all the reasons I've harped on about for ages. Plus they look like rolling mid-life crisis to me anyway.

I bought my Ghibli from Greypaul Edinburgh. They offered a much better deal than my local dealer, and much more friendly!

It's over reactionary imo... most of it is just common sense to literally dispel all the usual whines once a car has been taken away and driven by simple knobheads.... it's really not that bad at all. The panel gaps one is a joke but really? Come on just consider the amount of multi-millionaire dickheads they get who have never even driven a supercar before.

Scrub some of that I watched more (yawn) and some prep is poor but I'm not at all surprised.
