Yes but how much did those add to the original order price?

you'd need some extras...

what's the 'safe' point to jump on, say £10k a year loss? I was thinking if they got to £150k, however I'm now thinking that they'll quickly hit £100k or so?

Need... or want.

Extras are just a way for more profit to be made. Wait for the last cars to come out with them included as near to standard.

On this car, if you remove the VAT and extras it is close to what a new 'base' car would be.

Immaterial to me however as I don't want to own one and I think the doors are silly and puerile.

I would say the £100k barrier is fairly safe. I think they will get close though. So the probable sweet spot, and not having to wait too long is £125k with some spec.

Keep 5 years and add 15k miles to risk £25k is acceptable in my book.

Time will tell I guess.

So... a 720S and an MC20 side-by-side, same price, great spec. Whaddya go for? Answer based on both financial predictions and expected nutsack-tingle.

Parks (main dealer) have a blue one listed at £153k on 11,000 miles, surely in reach at under £150k as well, which was the first to draw my attention to the tumbling value

Can’t see them going anywhere near £100k, £125k within a year is wishful thinking. I reckon they’ll all sell around the £135-140k mark and bounce a little.

Private sales? no one saw a 2023 car with £60k off cost. or them hitting £150ish so quick. It excites me as i'd like one, even at a year or so old they've not got the reputation and issues mclarens have, also the mclarens don't look great close up, these do.

thats sensible. I think it'll get to the point quickly where the nice spec cars will sell. Are they giving discounts on new/list yet?

They’ve been going at £50-60k off for a year or more; don’t imagine there would be private sales either.

how can a 2023 car be showing £60k off list for a year or more? Withtout a time machine!? :D

The priviate sales bit was removing dealer margin, what a private seller might get.

There’s was nothing off the list price on a new car when I chatted to my dearest main dealer about 2 weeks ago. But plenty “off” a lightly used car they had in stock that was a year old and very high spec. From memory that car was circa £260k new and can be had now for £200k, after 1k miles.

This is brilliant news, if the Maserati dealers are helping de value used cars, they'll be £100k in no time!!

No. A £200k car will not be £100k in no time.
I don’t see an MC20 (with sensible miles) being £100k any time soon.

A ten year old F458 with 20k+ miles is still £120k. And that’s not a patch on an MC20.

Just for clarity I was not suggesting that MC20’s would be £100k in x years, it’s more a floor I don’t think it will pass through.

no but they do sound better with that v8. I think i'll jump in once they hit £130k ish, which seems like a sensible point.
