Just wondering if anyone is a member of the owners club?

If so, do you attend any of the events?
It seems to be aimed more towards owners of the earlier cars, although open to all. I joined a month or so ago - the first car club I have belonged to for years - not including GRRC.

Cheers

I didn't bother joining as the majority of events are down south and I'm near York so it's not a lot of good but that's not to say it's not s good club.

Costs peanuts. Good literature. Fun events. Can't imagine why any Maser fan/owner wouldn't join.

If you were to buy a new QP, the depreciation in just one day (everyday) would be more than the cost of club membership for a whole year. Probably.

I was a member when I owned a Merak. I was in the wrong end of the country for meets, the ones that were up here were a bit high end for me, so never rejoined. Magazines were good though.

I've also recently joined the OC as I'm located 'down south'. Looking forward to taking part in some of their events too.

I didn't think the cost was too bad, probably similar to many other car clubs that I am aware of.

I have not been to any of the events yet but am planning to attend the meet at Pluckley next sunday (3rd August). The owner of the pub has a collection of intereing cars. I will probably try to get to the pub meet at some point too.

Every year I promise myself that I will attend more events but due to location / other commitments it doesn't always work out. I have not even made it to the Ace yet!

I'm a member, and was the organiser for Cholmondeley. Just joined a few months ago and I've already been up the hill at Prescot, raced for a weekend at Cholmondeley, and met some quite nice people. I would be going on the Mid-Wales trip in October, but the kid is in school. The mag and newsletter are pretty good for car club standards as well. Like any club, you get out what you put in. I've found everyone very welcoming and everyone I met is a true enthusiast and appreciate any Maserati, old or new.

I've just joined and will be going to the 'Picnic at Brandon on the Water on August 17th'. It sounds fun and very civilised with Masers and wine. Anybody else joining in?

I have no objection to any SM member joining but for me I will abstain for now as I feel SportsMaserati.com is more focused to member input and I dont see the point in joining.

Personally, I don't do civilised, wine or picnics. Hard driving and tear-ups, yes, so it probably it isn't for me. Have 'fun'.

Food, wine and test driving new Masers from Rigeway Maserati - so they may a bit unkeen on tear-ups in their new cars, but whats not to like? I'm new to the Marque and whether its test drives, social get togethers with people with common interests or blasting round Brunty - I'm keen to experience it all.

We have discussed joining but not got much further than that. Recently I have let my AROC membership lapse as we were just getting nothing out of it although I am now having second thoughts on that as well.

Decisions, decisions

If it was beer, tequila chasers, a fight and a thrash, would that be more up your alley, Ben?
