Brilliant. If you've got:
- the means
- the sklls
- the balls

I think its a brave but ultimately worth while project. Could be interesing.

I prefer cars with body panels. I guess if you like tinkering with cars and you have a big garage and
deep pockets...

You can get body panels made up easily enough, my concern would be with the engine. If it were running then it would be fine. My dad once bought a Healey that was a complete wreck and it turned out to a have a cracked engine, he spent forever trying to source a new Riley lump to fit the car. If anything is missing from the engine how easy is it going to be to source parts?

Thinking positively at the moment Woody and not getting carried away, ive got 2 out of the 3 on your list , basically the balls and the ( means over time ) skills some of what will be required but more importantly i know people , or i know people who know people if you get my drift , been researching various projects over the last 3 years , and still not 100% which model i really fancy the most , whether its the monofaro below, or an A6 gcs or the 300S , just that this one seems to have a large part of the basics sorted ( depending on inspection as to whether its been done correctly enough ) will be come more apparent later ,

If its true and £70K has already been spent then it should have been , im speaking later to the company that have done a large part of the work

My god are you mad man?????

I took on someone else's restoration project (my Opel GT) never again.

You can't deny the end product would be fabulous, but we would never see you again, you would be forever in your shed with hammer sounds and swearing only to be heard.

Loz...you know what needs to be done......a rather thorough specialist indie inspection, great if Andy250F feels qualified to do that.

Check on name of the people who've done the work, small world of specialist out there so you will know after a few phone calls just what you are buying

I imagine forming the panels won't be that difficult now....again Andy is your man.

This again is where your head rules your heart....ie you need to know how much NOW needs spent on it!

A fine adventure to be had there Loz, but for that price I'd need to convince myself why I'm not just starting my own project from scratch?

Very early days Miles , downloaded some buld specification pics of the 300 s and there's a few discrepencies ive found already , like the petrol tank and oil tank aren to spec shape wise and few other bits , making me think how much of a diversion he's made here and there , things only a viewing can find out ,

I know that no two cars were the same but there was a generality between most of them

Re the price Miles , obviously i would be wearing my best negotiating hat if i decide to go for it , but easy to see where the money has gone , i reckon around £20K would see it finished and painted,
