Good choice and good luck. I am sure there is the odd one out there, somewhere. Not very common and they do usually command a premium. However, a well sorted 4200 face lift isn't that far off a GS and go for a lot less money.

You could try Dick Lovett Swindon, they offered me one last month. I was keen but they never followed up.

Welcome to the forum. A GS Spyder is a very rare car, only 24 were officially imported in rhd so finding one can be rare however there is always someone who will want to sell. Best of luck with the search.

Welcome to the forum, Boxer.

As has been said, pretty rare car in the UK (are you UK based?). I looked into one when I was looking and looked at three - they do come up from time to time.

If I was looking now, I'd ring a couple of specialist (servicing, rather than dealers) and ask if they know of any for sale.

Gentlemen, Thanks. I am UK based. I just missed the one at ADG. Called the day it was sold. I might give Lovetts a call but not sure I want to deal with them based on a couple of past experiences on Ferraris.

Welcome, yes the one at ADG was incredibly well priced probably due to the end of the summer. Between now and January is the best/cheapest time to buy a Spyder so good luck and we will keep our eyes open for you.

Hello everyone. I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd register and say Hi!

I'm interested in the above statement as I hadn't realised there were so few officially imported GS Spyders.
A quick look at 'How many left': http://howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=maserati+gransport+spyder says that there are around 100 currently registered.
Would all of these extra ones be lhd or are were there other ways to get rhd drive examples into the country, outside of official dealers?

Thanks

Hi umagnus,

Welcome to the forum.

The 'how many left' details are wrong. Many coupes were registered as Spyders on the log books which is inaccurate. The figure quote above is far closer to actual.

Umagnus, i can along with Woody can assure you there was only ever 24 GS Spyder's that came to the UK. 3 Red, 1 Green, 1 Yellow. Not sure about the other colours.

There were 12 different colours of Spyders in the UK, most were either Nero Carbonio (9) or a shade of blue (9 too). I *think* there was actually 26 Spyders in total, though I've heard anything from 22-26 from reasonably reliable sources. I wanted to verify with the DVLA but they, like the link above, have a lot of Coupe's listed as Spyders (interesting, only in the description, I dont think the body type was wrong).
