I think the UK needs a new direction, it seems a bit lost to me (looking from the outside). There used to be a more or less common agitator, the EU, against which the UK could profile itself. Now that they’ve gone it alone, they will need some proper vision to succeed. Without it there are frankly just 2 outcomes - downhill or re-join the EU. Both of these would come at a cost, joining the EU would have more long term benefits obviously. The current government has now had two crises to blame the negatives of Brexit on, COVID and the Ukraine. The stark reality will eventually come through. Just my 2 shillings /ounces /lbs ;) - I’ll go for a pint now
There could be a third outcome, which is to regain the UK's international reputation and promote the country as never before. However, that requires leadership which puts country before party and people before political ambition; I see no sign of that happening anytime soon, and the current crop of politicians (of all persuasions) inspire nowt but derision for their self-serving antics.

Dull , boring, no one listens to her when she talks. Delia Smith could do a better speech on the centre circle at Norwich after three bottles of wine. You think Boris was bad, wait till Labour get in with their bunch of amateur speech impedimented retards.

Yes that was my point really - they need some proper vision. Truss and the current lot are not it. I don’t think Labour have got someone either. You need a Blair/Thacher type figure who can effect real change (Now don’t go on about Thatcher’s or Blair’s policies, that is not the point).

With Italy on its knees with a government in turmoil and a national debt only just behind Spain and Greece plus 38% unemployment in the under 25s (I'm here and listening to it first hand).
Spain enjoying record inflation and nearly 40% unemployment among the young and Germany in recession with a government that would submit to Putin had Boris not been so persuasive I cannot for the life of me understand the constant Boris bashing.
Starmer is weak and has little to offer other than platitudes. He is attacked by the far left for not being Jeremy Corbyn and derided by his own right wing for not ousting the left hardliners who want to take us back to the 70s. Plus the Ginger Grinder waiting for her moment to pounce.
Had it been Boris who went to Brussels instead of Cameron to try and get a few concessions we would still be in the EU and changing it from within but we are where we are. Cameron was weak, May was pathetic but Booster Boy was a breath of fresh air who because he is what he is got the Vaccine into my arm 6 months before my Italian friends and had Macron and Schultz been in charge of the response to Putin the Russian army would now be drinking Polish Vodka enjoying a Baltic autumn.
OK he was a complete Tw4t letting stupid people get away with being stupid on his watch and he was an even bigger tw4t for sticking up for various wrong doers instead of giving them a public bums rush but look at what might have been
Brown...........left us skint
Harmen............Bitter old cow
Ed Miliband...........say no more
Jeremy Corbyn............Cheerio England
Keir Starmer.............the original wooden top

Bojo gave us our pride back and always had a half full glass attitude even when nearly dying
Liz is a fiesty bit and might just surprise us especially with the crowd she is mustering.

Politics is always divisive especially on Forums and it's easy to spout pseudo left wing propaganda until a left wing government screws it up again.

Which ones exactly are speech impedimented retards ? I have a family member with a speech impediment and it doesn't make that person a "retard", far from it.

Just watching Sky news and they are debating the style of lectern Liz Truss will stand at to make her first speech - I can think of more important things to debate and discuss.

Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner. And that's nice for you. Thanks for sharing that. If you are offended by that then that's your problem. You must get offended a lot.

Appreciating that I'm feeding the troll, and wasting my own time here, but I believe someone should speak up, and today, that someone is me.

I'd love to understand what you get from posts like this.

I'm sure in real life, you're a likable chap, I'm sure you're a laugh, and there is a chance we'd perhaps even get on.

But when you post things like that, you just come across as a self entitled *****, acting like you are better than others, ignoring how you make others feel, and belittling people for things that they can't help, be it mental disabilities in this case, or, I'm sure many other things too.

You seem to think you're smart, but really, you're just outdated, rude and ignorant, and despite your best efforts to control this tiny corner of the internet, you're just small and insignificant. Sure, a few might chuckle at your posts, but I expect most just scroll on by, rolling their eyes. There goes the forum bully again, feeding their own self importance by making others feel bad with no regard for the consequences.

I can't imagine being so insecure that I'd feel the need to knowingly offend swathes of people in pointless, sweeping statements on an internet forum, and, in the same sentence, clearly demonstrate that I don't care that that's what is going on. It's sad, and I feel sorry for you.

Here's the thing though, you own the responsibility of your actions, which means you get stuff like this, from people like me. Maybe that's where you get your kicks, I honestly don't care. I'll sleep well tonight knowing I called out a bully.
