The new Ghibli Trofeo has a c600hp V8 but the range-topping MC20 has a c600hp V6. All a bit odd in my opinion
It’s the last model of the Ghibli and QPVI so full fat. It’s the first of the MC20, with the hybrid to follow bumping it to 700bhp or so next year. We are all aware that the best Tridents of the last 30 years have all been the late cars, never the first models.

Some interesting shapes when you look;
Grille looks more rounded than the current offerings
Strange bridge piece on the rear engine cover
3200esc vents at the front alongside strad style vents en the wing/door area
Headlights also look like the coupes under the tape
Big trident at the front rather tha slab that's on the Levante
Still think the body looks like a bloated Alfa 4c

The new Trofeo units are to shift the final stock of the Ferrari-derived V8 that Maranello are no longer going to provide after next year, and the QP6/Levante/Ghibli are entering the final production update cycle with replacements on the way. It therefore makes no sense to engineer the MC20 - which will have a production life of at least three to five years - for the V8 if the engines are going to dry up in one year.
Of course, the interesting counterpoint is the Ghibli - the Trofeo was the big surprise. I’ve a feeling that a V8 Ghibli was on the cards much earlier in its life (So all the development work on the chassis was good to go) but it might have been too much of an internal rival for the Alfa QF, hence the shelving. Really surprising - but welcome - move from Maserati. They must have a lot of those Ferrari V8s left...

Just stunning......Styling more restrained than the over styled Ferrari and for me that's a good thing. I want one please. At last a Maserati to yearn for. Love the rear window.

The front really does echo the MC12......suspect it will look better in another colour and I hope to god it drives well

Looks nicer than I expected. Well out of my league (for the foreseeable anyway) but hopefully it will be a contender for race wins and that will be at least fun to watch

A beautiful thing but I will have to wait about 20 years before it will be at my price point and by the I probably won't able to get on it

Apart from the stick on screen which really does look like an afterthought, I like it. Some of the modern interiors are so over styled with unnecessary dials, screens and switches but this looks simple and very driver focussed and just as a sports car should be.

Big Alfa 4C, not a bad thing I suppose but hasn't exactly broken the mould.

I think I'd need to see it in the flesh to decide whether I like it or not. Just looks a bit "generic sports car" in the pics so far.
Interior hasn't photo'd well either. I'm all for minimalist, but not so much a fan of after thought design.
Price has been rumored at £300k, but I'd say half that is more realistic as it's meant to be an R8 competitor not an Aventador competitor.

Hopefully in real life it'll look stunning.
