A little questionnaire....

Do you know where the pot holes / sunken drain covers are on your regular runs?
If yes, are they so frequent that you've figured out the best line between them?
Are some so bad that you've actually changed your regular route?

Answers on a postcard (making sure it's correctly stamped and fits through the regulation slot otherwise the receiver has to pay to receive something he has absolutely no knowledge of)

Yes, yes and no.

Cr@p, innit? Is it the case that it costs less for councils to pay out occasional claims for a new tyre / wheel than to get the holes fixed?

I often get flashed because people think I am driving like a drunk and before you say it, I am actually sober, most of the time, Our roads are ****.

yes yes and yea , only 2 months ago i actually got stopped by the police ( embarrassing cos i had that Andy who bought my 4200) as a passenger , was taking him out in the GS so he could see the comparrison between the 2 , was doing one of my local routes and slalom like avoiding the sunken drain covers , i might add at a sprightly rate , un beknown to me plod had seen me doing the same a mile or so back and tugged me , Andy sat there rather glum as i explained to plod what i had been doing and that i wasn.t the worse for too many pints , plod sort of understood and sent me on my way

regards loz

It's 3 yes's!

There is one sod that I always forget and the poor old Alfa goes 'CRACK' when she goes over it. It's a sunken drain cover, from years of bodge spray and chip coatings.

Apparently more and more drivers are suing the local council for damage to their cars due to the roads and currently they find that cheaper than actually doing the repairs, ridiculous. LET'S ALL GET CLAIMING???
