Just how c**p are our roads.

Equally annoying are these bl**dy sleeping policeman that are set in the middle of the lane, so you either try to line your car up to take it evenly or you drive down the middle of the road to avoid totally. And of course these have no impact on the real speed culprits, taxi's, vans and buses!!!

guys, there is'nt a pothole , trough or sunken manhole in the uk that can compare to the road out of Antwerp, over the lock bridges and into the industrial zone. it is all cobbles. its like crossing the channel in a storm in a canoe. I am expecting all the wheels to fall off one day going through this. now , this is'nt a new problem. I first did this journey to work in 1990 and did'nt think the car would last a week. so you would think that is enough time for the council to do something.

I cant.........I have to do this every day to work and back.
worst still.......I'm doing it in a saab........the front skirt is on its way off. when it does come off I'll only know when I run over it.

Dem its cr@p. I only bought it cos it was so cheap and I needed something in a hurry to get me around holland last winter after the truck was suddenly of the road.
looked at an alfa spyder at the same garage first. but there were too many niggles with it.

The flsgship is alright but hes had loads of probs.....traded it in for a skoda octavia now

The C6 was my previous motor. I had no problems with it over three year's ownership but the horror stories on the forum persuaded me to get out while the going was good.

Traded it for a Quattroporte.

Gawd it felt good to say that; I'll say it again: traded it for a Quattroporte :)

Stay clear of Antwerp then fellas!!!

True. A friend lives in Geel, twenty minutes east of Antwerp, and I remember hitting what felt like a three inch step across the full width of the motorway near there. It was like driving head-on into a kerb.

Belgian motorways are toll-free - and you get what you pay for.
