Is that a Trident I see before me?

Why yes. Yes it is.
As some of you have surmised (and a couple of you know) I bought a new car on Sunday. Well new to me. The latest Jaaaag has started to show signs of its advanced years, and presenting the possibility of some heft bills which really didn't seem like a great idea. (No reflection on Mr Capes. It was only ever a stop gap) just a shame I can't sell it on the open market (with good conscience) or rely on it ATM

I could have bought another one, but was a bit sick of diesel. Could have bought an XF-R but then getting into unknown territory. Needed four doors (ageing mother and wheelchair). So that pointed me towards a Ghibli. Back at the diesel end, sadly. Went to see one and it just did nothing for me. Wasn't a good example but not for me.

Soooooo, I've gone full Spoons. Private purchase of a Cat N car with no PPI. One life, live it, right?

Ghibli S in Blu Passione, black leather and carbon trim. 71k on it. Just had the Valeting guys give it a once over. It's come up better than I would have thought :) Interior is pretty immaculate. Paint needs a day's worth of machine polish and some of the glass needs some attention (odd how that happens) but other wise it's rather spiffing I think.

Seems to have most of the options (rear heated seats, alcantara(?) head lining, sunshade, space saver spare etc. Hoping to get a build sheet from Maserati but irritatingly I can't use the app as it's already registered to a different email address.

20" wheels I'm not sure about. Makes the ride rather direct, and I'm not a huge fan of the look. Plus they need re-furbing and are machine polished. Seriously considering swapping them (and the P-Zeros) for some 18s or 19s.

So thanks to all for advice, opinion, guidance and offers of coffee. I was grinning in 2 minutes flat :)

‘I’ve gone full Spoons’ ROFL
Well done Catman! Looks great, must be nice to be back behind a Trident steering wheel.
Congratulations :)

It's bloody ace, frankly. Disturbingly so. I also looked at Alfa Giulia's but second hand was more than I wanted to spend. New lease was 22+ weeks. And just wasn't happy about having that kind of debt tied up

Well done
I blow hot and cold on all of the models now though I do agree the Ghibli does stand out better than others
I think the right colour combination and equipment is the clincher
There is a grey one 2 doors down and leaves me cold
Same with Levante

Mrs C keeps saying she wants a Levante or a Stelvio as her next. I keep shaking my head.

Given my druthers, it'd have been another GT but...... This ticks the boxes and behind the wheel it really does its stuff, I think. Sounds pretty good as well :)

I did notice and was going ask about the hint in your change profile pic change! Looks a beauty especially since she’s now shining and glowing!

Many congratulations! Personally I like your wheels. If the tyres are fairly old, then changing them might do the trick?
