It's a common question but I notice there isn't a thread in the appropriate section and as mine is due next month who do you recommend?
I'm curently with Admiral on a multi car policy. I've tried changing in the past but haven't found anyone that can beat their price yet. I've never claimed with them so I don't know how good they really are and of course this is what really matters, it's not just the price. So hasanyone got any recommendations based on experience as well?

A-Plan were good for me price-wise, and are very helpful and efficient. They also sponser the dark side, if you know what I mean....!

I am with A Plan and had a little ding last year, that was my fault, A Plan were brilliant, so its not only cheap, its solid.

Mine was renewed at the end of March,
A-plan gave me a very good quote, but it was subject to having a Thatcham approved alarm/Immobiliser fitted...
I asked them to check if the QP was on the list, but the reply came back that actually no Maseratis are on the list!
So I moved to the next best quote which was from Michael Ward Associates (Royal Sun Alliance), so also worth giving them a call.
Regards,
Enzo.

No but very nearly , they gave me the cheapest quote for both massers together , by atleast £50 cheaper , only reason i didn't go for it was that im seriously considering selling my 4200 in a month or so and i would of got penalised for canceling it , Stats007 used to use them on his 4200 and his Aston

Klive, for the sake of £20 I would most definitely go with A Plan. What where you paying last year if you dont mind me asking?

I just had my joint cover from Admiral in at £1500. Gulp. Two youngsters on the day car doesn't help but the Maserati part is only £657.
Now off to get quotes for the day car to get a full comparison.

Found the Co-op best when both my lads started driving , and did them extremely proud price wise when they passed and got their pass plusses , once in to their 2nd year of driving they both changed to different companies who quoted cheaper rates

I started a thread about this in the other Maserati forum.... having recently got my QP, I went to my classic car insurers (RH Specialist Insurance), who had quoted me realy well on my 5Ltr classic car... so asked about my QP... they came back with a quote of £522 with £250 excess limited miles to 8,000 and no quibbles about whether the car had a "live" tracker system fitted, only other requirement was to have the car garaged at night.
So they may well give you a competative quote, certainly should be around the figures for the companies you've already tried.... best of luck

I've just renewed my insurance with Groupama via Adrian Flux as a broker and ended up with £480, 7500 miles per year, £500 excess, legal protection and only one years NCB on this car, all in all a saving of just over £200 on last years insurance cost.

Thats a great price Garry, I thought I had done well with £522 for my QP, but you've beat me by £40..... you get a warm fuzzy feeling when your insurance price is lower than you thought possible.

Oh yes..... too many times Ive seen a car, and jumped straight in with both feet and my wallet. I know all the car shows and experts tell you to view and drive as many cars as you can... but the reality is, and this probably applies to lots of folk.... you see what you think is a good straight car, and thats it... car bought.

I've just had my A-Plan renewal through......premium with my current insurer (Groupama) increased by approx 250% on last year (yes, really!). A-Plan told me that Groupama are essentially pulling out of this sector, hence massive hike. An alternative insurer suggested by A-Plan was still an increase of more than 50%.

No accidents, same mileage, same drivers, same location etc etc! Will need to shop around as although I heard a rumour that premiums were on the up, this is crazy stuff! I'm going to have a phone round, so will let you know how I get on.
