I’ve renewed my admiral multi policy just today and for the first time in my life I’m actually over the moon about it! Lol

House and 3 cars, added a named bit of jewellery on for loss, damage etc (4 in total) included my extension done this year which has flat roof with a lantern.

And I’m paying £500 less then last year :D

Be a bit careful on going cheapest as you want to make sure they come good if the unfortunate happens. I was with Saga but they were not interested in agreed value so I’m with Heritage in the midlands now on an agreed value, £370 which include breakdown cover to take me and car back home.

Given the big increases in building material costs, it’s worth checking the re-build value/cost on your house insurance (should it burn down, for example, and need rebuilding). I’ve had to increase my insurance values this year, meaning a small increase in premium. But better that than being under-insured and then have a problem.

Well I probably had the biggest attempted heist from an insurance company so far! Renewal came through earlier in the week at £1,780! As a continuation of the Aviva insurance through A-Plan. I told them to do one and send me proof of NCD.

Today I phoned around a bit and also used Comp the Cats. Would you believe Aviva came out tops with the same policy at…..

£535!!!!

WTF, I phoned A-Plan back and they went back to Aviva and got less than £100 off!

so I went directly to Aviva. Seriously you couldn’t make this sh!t up.

I had a great result with my insurance - did a comparethemarket quote, admiral came out cheap, clicked through to buy it, they then offered me multi-car, discounted the GT by a further 20% and got my BMW added on.

Maserati was £375 for the year in my name - the mrs was fuming it was cheaper than her on the BMW :D

Next year try the Thatcham branch of A Plan for a quote , they specialise in performance cars at that branch , ring another branch of A plan and the same cover can be 3x the price , bizarrely

Insurance is a lottery, subsidised by the stupid who don't shop around. When I had the TTRS I was paying £500pa. When it was tuned from 400 to 685bhp I ended up with Adrian Flux for £490. Go figure.

I'm sure Cherished Motors (whom I'm with and on an excellent deal) are also part of A-Plan.

That’s seriously cheap. Limited mileage I presume? I’m just about to renew mine and Compare the Meerkat came out at £640

They also offer a discount to the Mustang owners club of which I am a member, I only ever mention it after they have quoted and then get a genuine 10% off, they have 4 cars of mine on their books so the discounts add up. The Thatcham branch are particularly helpful in my opinion.

A-Plan (Thatcham) are also the insurance partner for the Westfield Owners Club so are happy to cover kit and modified cars.

I am sure I read somewhere that the FCA made a a ruling that I Siena e companies will have to offer the same deal to existing customers as they do to new ones.
Can’t find it on the net though
