These are troubling times. Admiral sent my annual renewal notice, so I limbered up, ready for a scrap about why they are a bunch of swine and 50 reasons why I shall be taking my business elsewhere.

Imagine my disappointment that the premium has only gone up by £14. Hardly worth a phone call, really.

Can anyone suggest some other company I could phone up and vent at seeing as Admiral has let me down so badly?

LV - They put my renewal up 400 quid for our Multi Car policy, probably down to the missus reversing into some coffin dodger who decided to pass her whilst she was half way through reversing out of a car parking space!

However, I switched providers and ended up with two policies with a 300 reduction! :D

So all good in the end.

Just ring LV up and have a rant anyway!

Thanks, Mark. For authenticity, can I pretend to be you?

I just added Charlie and her new MB onto my multi car policy with Admiral... £52. Almost fell off my chair.

Quess it depends how long left you have on the multi car policy until renewal. The £52 might be for only a months cover!

There is a change to insurance regulation coming in from early January next year so that existing customers must be offered the same rate as new customers.

Its supposed to stop the loyal customer annual price hikes. What will most likely happen is new customer rates will go up and existing customer rates will go down or have small increases as the algorithams change to meet the new pricing regulations.

A similar change took place a few years ago when insurance companies were charging lower premiums for female drivers.

As the new regulations take effect from 5th January 2022 iirc then you may find if your renewal is before then that the changes are already live in your insurance providers system.

If your renewing now its also worth checking the price again in January after the changes must take effect. As it may be worth cancelling and taking out a new policy if your insurance company reduces the premium or altetnative providers change their rates to comply with the new regulation.

My Lusso was written off when that total fruit cake tried to kill herself by going head on into me at 70 but her insurance voided her insurance because it was deliberate. My insurance had to pick up the entire bill of 200k plus and put my renewal premium up by..................................................................

£52

I realise there are a billion factors but I could not believe how cheap the insurance was on my 2009 GTS vs other cars I'd been looking at. It was only £200. I dunno, maybe I'm old.
