Injection Boots

The wiring to the injection modules on my 2300GT needs resheathing. The heat at the top of the engine makes the cable protection break down - particularly the injection ‘boots’. OEM supplies are difficult to find. Any suggestions?

I am probably going to have to take the wires off the injector connectors to fit the end shrink wrap and new boots - all advice gratefully received! The new main sheathing is split and easy to fit. The problem seems to be in the detailing. One duff re-connection...

Any special tools needed?

You can buy a de-pinning tool from the internet. This will allow you to pull the pins from the plugs and thread the boots over.

De-plugging too? More advice needed.. My days of just rushing in are long gone - my electrical genius of a dad too! This time, I am on my own - staring down eight barrels of a difficult problem. Time to clean out the rats nest and blast everything back to how she was when Masarati first made her.

PS. Just noticed some ****wit had texture painted the aluminium side inspection box covers on the engine. Yup! That's coming off too for a back to basics refurb Probably just Artex over a crack - all designed to match the textured plasterboard on the garage ceiling so you wont notice the difference!

I got these nice right angled ones some years ago from Vehicle wiring products and I think they sold me the sold for dismantling the connectors too, its quite a fiddly process and the inserts take a bit of persuasion to remove but you get the hand of it just as you finish the job :)

Like everything else on the car it seems...
Do you have a link for the boots?
