Forever the diplomat Matt. At the end of the day we are not Maserati and just a group of guys and gals who love their cars and the social aspect of the forum. I don't understand why they cannot see that we are an asset to them and I agree with Matt we will do better to work with them to convince them that we are not the threat they perceive us as

Yes got it thanks Frank and thank you.

I have replied to Maserati solicitors inviting them to view the forum to make sure we have conformed.

Can I take this opportunity to ask you not post images of the Maserati brand, this does not mean pics or cars, more images of logo's, tridents etc.

I promise I won't and if you feel any recent threads are in breach then delete them for heavens sake........we would all understand

Guys, Urby invited me to remove that thread, to which I accepted...dont want to stir up a hornets nest, thats not what we are here for.

I will be moving the website control under the control of a limited company in due course.

I am only here for the joy of the cars, certainly do not want to be homeless or even worse in jail.

Not quite UM...................we are the ones...buying all the spares, getting up-grades, keeping some of the main dealers in a living at times...getting some servicing done with them.......bigging up the marque...keeping some dubious cars on the road.......Maserati Spa should be cosying up to us...........................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P

maybe thats the problem Frank. We are maintaining older models, as we are enthusiasts, without us doing this there would be less older maserati's on the road and maybe more new models purchased.

....not sure Rob............only a very small percentage of the public can afford a 70-80-90K car.......so, if 2nd hand image is poor or depreciation large, then the cars quite quickly get into your hands and my hands.....am only prepared to spend so much on a car!

Whose going to buy new when they loose money twice as fast as other high end marques.....or maybe I am not in tune with how first time buyers think!

So us buying parts, using services, doing up-grades all adds to the extra value attached to older cars and are actually putting real money into dealers and parts sellers.....I believe this is not an insignificant amount, why ignore us or treat us less favourably?

Well, when I first came into Maserati ownership, I did it for £20k, then I spend £35k on my next one and the one after that, I am looking at spending £55k, so in the end, Maserati win.

The £20k car I spend £5k on parts on the d@mn thing in the 3 years I had it!

They have increased their output back up to 2008 levels now......so selling around 9000 cars a year.......but if Asian markets take off...the EU sales will be shoved way down the ladder of importance.

I would love to buy another, and will be spending more.............if it happens.

So why do they p*ss on us ? why do they not support a mature and active group that endorses their product. does'nt make sense to me. maybe it's Andy k's spelling that make's them cringe :mock8:
