What number are you aiming for?

102dba at 5250rpm to be safe. Limit is 105 for racing. Hillclimbing is higher at a lower rpm so should be ok.

The silencers they’ve made are really weird to my eyes but we’ll see or rather hear tomorrow.

Back home now and it is quieter, much quieter, no need for ear plugs now but I’m not sure it’s quiet enough. I’ve measured it at 105dba. I think the next step is to get it tuned properly so it’s running well and then re-measure.

Ooh Rolling Road time Tim.

Need to get a coil as I’ve just electrocuted myself on the brand new one that’s in there.
My go to guy’s road only goes up to 280bhp but I’ve spoken to him and he’ll get it about right. Haven’t been able to find anyone else local that’s recommended.

******* ******* ******* *******!
I know I can be a bit particular or a perfectionist but this beggars belief. Took the new exhaust off to have a look and I was right to be dubious about what they said they were going to do being quiet enough. It obviously wasn’t so they’ve just welded a plate in the exhaust and drilled 4 small holes in it. No wonder it didn’t like full throttle.

That's shocking. I assume it wasn't cheap, either

The restaurant gave me my money back no issue I just didn’t want to go back to ask.

The exhaust place was recommended
The restaurant was simple then.
The exhaust place knew your requirements and could see it was a Race prepared car so quite slack and unprofessional of them.
You could waste time and money on the rolling road tuning.
What are others doing ?
Are you the only Corvette ?

There’s actually only about 6 C3 corvettes running in Europe, a lot run in series with no noise regs. There’s a couple of guys who’ve had silencers made at a place in Stoke, I just didn’t want to travel that far. But I will go there now.

A couple also run under floor exhausts but I don’t have the room as I’ve lowered the floor to get enough interior room.
