I have come close to moving to cyprus in the last year with the country the way it is and having a little one it makes you question quality of life....they have their issues over there with jobs but still however much they earn, even the poorest of families still go to the beach or have bbqs in the mountains, they tend to have time for family as work finishes at 3pm.....

Big believer in spending time with family they have better morals and manners, a prob in this country

I cant talk about everyone but in cyprus when its lunch or dinner everyone must eat together, theres no kids in one room and adults in the other, or eating while playing ps3....they sit down and talk about their day...i beleive in that

That's how we were brought up Dem, just not that practical in this day and age;

We still try and do it but most nights there's at least a couple off doing some club or activity or I'm still at work etc.

Mind you I'd like to see the introduction of the siesta to the UK, it is very civilised in my opinion.

Never the British way of doing things........food seen as a way of feeling full, enrgy to live....wholly different attitudes in many continental countries who are becoming more UK/USA oriented to food/eating/living and work

Well, Friday evening saw one of our new members "Brendan" drive off into the sunset with the most captivating car I've owned.

Took a video with my phone as I waved him out on to the road, more to keep my mind occupied with something. Don't know how to upload that, but took a few screenshots from it, and as anyone that can empathise with seeing their baby disappear, the final image can't help but bring a lump to your throat, and did, and what you don't get in the pics was the aural farewell :(

In the forth image, you can just see the theif............ sorry, new owner............. stick his hand up and wave. Au revoir 4200 and Brendan, hope to see you both again before too long. We must get him along to Llandow!

So, the bigger cogs are slowly and surely turning :D

Thanks all for your comments and well wishes, and a big thanks to Andy and Dicky for your pointers with the car, very much appreciated

And a big proper WELCOME to Brendan to Maserati ownership, may it be as painless and inspiring as it has for me :D

That's why I only mentioned it on here, so it went to someone who knew what they were looking for and would appreciate it, and he does.

Just gutted that of all the things that we are not taking with us, it was the first to go :(

Hi there Mark and all!

What a car is all I can say!

Where ever I go people keeping looking over their shoulder and sometimes even stopping. The OAP neighbour thought it was new, when I said it was a Maserati, her lower jaw dropped( I thought her false teeth were going to pop out but fortunately they did not).
Even when the car is just parked up, I notice passerbys rubber necking, never happened with the Porker.

Porker = common as.......Maserati.....mobile work of art......:)

Yup that's my view too....Porsche isn't exclusive any more.....when you can't tell a new 911 from an old one....something's wrong????

Cheers Wattie

At the moment perhaps, but too much of a good thing and people get bored with them.

Does anyone know anyone who'd owned a Porsche then settled for Maseratis? Me for one, bets there's loads out there. I doubt there will be many folk who've owned Maseratis then decided that a Porsche is what floats their boat. Once a Maserati man, it's very difficult to find any other brand that gets close.
